Coordinate engineering teams and oversee design reviews and project assurance.

Scope of work

The Head of Engineering (Design Authority) will lead and oversee multidisciplinary engineering activities for the project, with responsibility for design review, project assurance and technical coordination throughout project delivery.

The role will work within the Owner’s Engineer team to ensure engineering designs and deliverables meet the required project requirements, applicable standards and overall project objectives.

Key Responsibilities include

• leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams across the project
• performing and overseeing design reviews and engineering verification activities
• providing technical oversight and project engineering assurance
• reviewing engineering deliverables produced throughout the project lifecycle
• ensuring effective coordination and resolution of multidisciplinary engineering interfaces
• supporting technical decision-making and resolution of engineering issues
• overseeing engineering activities related to EPCC / Design & Build project delivery
• ensuring engineering work is completed in accordance with applicable project requirements, codes and standards

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent, a minimum of 12 years of relevant engineering experience, proven experience in design review and project assurance, strong experience in EPCC and/or Design & Build project delivery, demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams, registration as a Professional Engineer with BEM or other relevant professional body where applicable, and strong technical leadership, engineering coordination, and stakeholder-management capabilities.

• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Registered as a Professional Engineer with BEM
