Field Engineer / Senior Field Engineer

Overview

Provide daily engineering support at site, coordinate with teams to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Scope of work

• Provide day-to-day engineering support for site and field activities.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, procedures and technical documents prior to execution.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, subcontractors and other disciplines to resolve technical issues at site.
• Respond to field technical queries and support resolution of discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
• Monitor site activities to ensure work complies with approved drawings, procedures and project specifications.
• Support inspection, testing, installation and completion activities as needed.
• Assist preparation and review of field reports, technical records, red-line drawings and as-built documentation.
• Participate in site meetings, technical discussions and coordination activities.
• Identify potential technical or execution issues and escalate to project personnel.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE, quality and technical requirements.

Key requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline
• Min 5-12 years work experience in oil and gas
• Relevant experience supporting oil & gas, energy, construction, fabrication or installation projects
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and field execution activities
• Experience coordinating with construction teams, subcontractors and engineering disciplines
• Able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues at site
• Good communication, coordination and reporting skills
• Able to work effectively in a site/project environment
