Production Technologist

Overview

Monitor well performance, conduct nodal analysis, recommend optimisation and support well intervention activities.

Scope of work

Deliver well-performance, production-technology and optimisation support for offshore upstream operations in Brunei Darussalam. Key responsibilities include:

• Monitor well performance and diagnose production constraints such as liquid loading, scaling, sand, water, or gas issues.
• Build and maintain well models and perform nodal analysis to identify production-optimisation opportunities.
• Recommend operating envelopes, artificial-lift strategies, and well/network optimisation actions.
• Support well intervention, stimulation, clean-up, integrity, and production-restoration activities.
• Analyse well-test, pressure, fluid, and surveillance data and translate findings into operational recommendations.
• Interface with reservoir, wells, operations, and facilities teams to maximise safe and sustainable production.

Key requirements

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Production Technology or a related engineering discipline
• Relevant production-technology / production-engineering experience in upstream oil and gas
• Strong hands-on knowledge of well modelling, nodal analysis, artificial lift and well performance
• Nationality: Bruneian citizens / permanent residents are preferred; other suitably qualified candidates may be considered subject to applicable employment and immigration requirements.
