Overview
Perform and coordinate quality inspections, verify compliance to drawings and procedures, review documentation, and report non-conformities.
Scope of work
The QC Inspector will perform and coordinate quality inspections for project activities, verifying that work is performed according to approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
The role includes conducting visual and dimensional inspections, reviewing inspection, material, and quality documentation, coordinating inspection activities with construction, fabrication, welding, NDT and other project teams.
The inspector will identify and report quality issues or non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions, support inspection of materials, equipment and completed works as applicable, witness relevant testing and inspection activities, maintain accurate inspection records, reports and quality documentation, coordinate with client representatives and third-party inspectors, and ensure project quality and HSE requirements are followed throughout execution.
Key requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline
- Relevant QC/inspection experience within oil & gas, energy, fabrication, construction or similar projects
- Familiar with ITPs, inspection procedures, drawings and project specifications
- Good understanding of fabrication, welding and/or construction inspection activities
- Able to identify quality issues and follow through on corrective actions
- Familiarity with NCRs, inspection reports and quality documentation
