Overview
The Manager, Process will lead and oversee process engineering activities for the project, with responsibility for process design review, technical assurance and coordination throughout project delivery.
The role will work within the project engineering team to ensure process engineering designs and deliverables meet the required project requirements, applicable standards and overall project objectives.
The position requires strong experience in Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), HAZID/HAZOP and SIL studies, with proven exposure to projects involving hazardous environments.
Scope of work
- Lead and coordinate process engineering activities across the project.
- Perform and oversee process design reviews and engineering verification activities.
- Provide technical oversight and assurance for process engineering deliverables.
- Review process engineering documentation and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and/or participate in HAZID, HAZOP and SIL studies.
- Support and review Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) activities.
- Ensure process safety requirements are effectively incorporated into engineering designs.
- Provide technical input for the identification, assessment and mitigation of process-related hazards.
- Coordinate process engineering interfaces with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
- Support technical decision-making and resolution of process engineering issues.
- Ensure process engineering work is completed in accordance with applicable project requirements, codes and standards.
- Support engineering activities associated with projects involving hazardous environments.
Key requirements
- - Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or equivalent.
- - Minimum 10 years of relevant process engineering experience.
- - Proven experience in Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA).
- - Strong experience in HAZID, HAZOP and SIL studies.
- - Previous experience working on projects involving hazardous environments is mandatory.
- - Strong process engineering design review and technical assurance capabilities.
- - Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders.
- - Strong technical leadership, problem-solving and engineering coordination capabilities.
- - Candidates with relevant Sarawak project experience will be highly regarded.
