Overview
Build and interpret reservoir models, perform reserves assessments, and support field development planning for upstream oil and gas assets.
Scope of work
The role involves building, maintaining, and interpreting reservoir models, material-balance studies, and performance forecasts. Responsibilities also include performing reserves assessment, production forecasting, and uncertainty/sensitivity analysis.
The engineer will evaluate well and field performance using pressure, production, PVT, and surveillance data. Supporting field development planning, identifying infill opportunities, managing workovers, and planning reservoir depletion strategies are key tasks.
Integration of subsurface data with teams in geology, petrophysics, production technology, and wells is essential. Preparation of technical recommendations, reservoir-management plans, and clear decision-support materials is required.
Key requirements
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering or a related discipline
- Relevant upstream reservoir-engineering experience
- Strong understanding of reservoir simulation, material balance, reserves and production forecasting
- Hands-on capability with industry reservoir / subsurface software
- Nationality: Bruneian citizens / permanent residents are preferred; other suitably qualified candidates may be considered subject to applicable employment and immigration requirements.
