NDT Engineer

Overview

Coordinate and support NDT inspections, review procedures, reports, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Scope of work

The NDT Engineer will

• Provide technical support and coordination of project NDT activities.
• Review NDT procedures, inspection requirements and relevant technical documentation.
• Coordinate NDT activities with welding, fabrication, construction, and QA/QC teams.
• Support selection and application of appropriate NDT methods per project needs.
• Monitor and ensure inspections comply with approved procedures and specifications.
• Review NDT reports and inspection results for completeness and compliance.
• Support evaluation and follow-up of weld defects, repairs, and re-inspections.
• Coordinate with NDT technicians, inspectors, and third-party inspection providers as required.
• Maintain proper NDT records, reports, and documentation.
• Assist in resolving technical issues related to inspection and NDT.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE, quality, and technical requirements.

Key requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Materials, Mechanical, Welding or relevant technical discipline
• Relevant NDT/inspection experience within oil & gas, energy, fabrication, construction or similar projects
• Good knowledge of common NDT methods such as UT, RT, MT and PT
• Familiarity with NDT procedures, inspection documentation and acceptance requirements
• Able to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and inspection requirements
• Min 5-12 years experience
• Experience coordinating with QA/QC, welding and fabrication/construction teams
• Good technical reporting, problem-solving and coordination skills
